For the seventh time, General Toshevo welcomed the National Lavender Festival

General Toshevo hosted today the Seventh Edition of the Lavender Festival. Traditionally, the event was held in the central square of the city. For the seventh time in a row, people from Toshevo and Dobrudzha open their souls and hearts and turn their very neat and fabulously arranged city into the lavender house of the National Lavender Festival, said Nina Girginova, chairwoman of the Organizing Committee of the festival. The host of the event - the mayor of General Toshevo Valentin Dimitrov, recalled his words from the previous edition that this is the capital of lavender in Bulgaria. He said plans for next year include a two-day festival.
The program for the festival was extremely diverse, including a lavender bazaar, a photo exhibition "Lavender Impressions", and a Lavender Workshop for children.
At 18.00 the music program began, which included performances by local amateur ensembles and a concert of PFA "Dobrudja". The celebration ended with performances by Stefan Ilchev.
