Feast of the pots was held in the Municipality of Krushari (VIDEO)
On June 11 in the center of the village of Krushari was held the 12th edition of the "Feast of Pots - Culinary Academy of Dobrudja". This year the event is attended by a professional chef who demonstrates interesting traditional dishes prepared on a plate and in pots. Chef Dimitar Dimitrov, who has lived in Dobrich for a long time, but has been living in Varna for ten years. He is currently a catering manager in two hotels - "Black Sea" in Varna and "Bulgaria" in Burgas. He has been involved in cooking since 1990, he has specialized abroad, he has worked there, and since 1999 he has been a chef in various restaurants in Bulgaria.
On the Feast of the Pots, Chef Dimitrov prepared 5 different traditional Bulgarian dishes.
The first is Chorbadji fry, which is prepared with pork, mushrooms, pickles, Chorbadji peppers, tomatoes, eggs, cheese and fresh herbs. The second dish was pop beef kebab with prunes and tomatoes. The chef also cooked chicken paprikash, cooked with chicken, roasted peppers, sour cream, green herbs. The other two dishes were vegetarian - porridge with fresh spinach and several types of fresh mushrooms and stuffed barbecue peppers, with local homemade cheese, onions and milk cream.
The opening of the unique festival for Dobrudja took place from 10 am on June 11, on the square in front of the community center in the village of Krushari. Due to bad weather the music program moved to the building of the community center "Jordan Dragnev - 1894".
The concert included dances of the children from the Representative Folklore Dance Studio "Dobrudja" and from the dance club "For the Forest", also the folk singers Stoyan Varnaliev and Peter Petrov, dance and singing groups from the area.
This year's event was funded by the Association "Local Initiative Group - Tervel - Krushari" through the Rural Development Program.
